Slovene doesn't sound Serbian at all to me, though they're both Western South Slavic. My dad said it's somewhat similar to Croatian, I'm guessing he was talking about a dialect or something

the Ijekavian (e herzegovinian) dialect speakers understand some slovene

I live 40 miles away from Vrsac (Timisoara - Romanian Banat region), so I'm a Sumadija - Vojvodina dialect speaker (Ekavian). I'm a Sumadija - Vojvodina speaker who understands some East Herzegovinian, not an East Herzegovinian who understands your stupid 100 Slovene dialects
